To get in shape

"I read the news today, o boy," - Actually, I didn't. What kind of journalist am I? No, I wanted to start today's story with something Beatle-ish, and I just wrote down the first lyrics that popped into my mind. But this doesn't have anything to do with what happened to me today.

Today, I realized this little town I live in ... turned into a giant playground! Vera and I went for a little walk, just to enjoy the lovely summer evening, and everywhere we went, they put play ... stuff. I love it! I will be outside the next couple of days, playing! Pictures of Vera and me acting like 8-year-olds tomorrow!

The Death Gate #3

I'm still on #3 of The Death Gate Cycle, somehow my mind doesn't seem to want to read! Anything! I think ... I just have to force myself into reading it. A read-rape ...

bad! How can I ever read-rape myself? Reading books is awesome. So it will never be an actual rape.
Speaking of rape:

I crash at a friends place for one single night, and the moment I get home I find my bed ... messed up, like somebody got raped in it. That one question I had still floats through my mind: who did this?

How did this blog ever end up from The Death Gate to rape? Can I please stop blogging now. I think I've reached a certain stage in my life that I like to call: blog-breakdown.
Well, to ens this terrible blog, I thought some Shakespeare would make up for it:

"The man that hath no music in himself,
nor is not mov'd with concord of sweet sounds,
is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils."

- The Merchant of Venice
Man, do I love poetry.

Dress-up

I'm at school right now. Yep, I can hear you thinking: "WHAT?! At school ... RIGHT NOW?!"
Yes people, at school ... right ... now! It's early, I know. But it had to be done.
I crushed at Eline's tonight (a classmate), since we had to attend some sort of political meeting. I felt like a real grown-up when I sat there in those awesome chairs in that awesome room.
And to save money, Eline's dad drove us to school today, with this result: two very tired early birds. Emphasizing on the tiiirrreeeeed. Ah well, that will pass.

Also, I'm dressed in one of my 'classy' dresses. We had this fun idea with the entire class:

To go to school dressed like a ... classy person. It wasn't exactly like that. But the guys are coming in suit and the girls in dresses. I hope they don't change minds at the end. Which is very likely to happen. I bet I'm going to be the only one dressed up.

Right now, Eline's sitting next to me, working on some political assignments. She's being way too good. I'm not worth it, to sit next to her, blogging around, doing nothing.
Maybe me, realizing this is a sign: I need to get to work. Which I will! Wish me luck!

Stand-up.

Okay, I'm soaked with adrenaline right now. We just got back (at school) after shooting a "stand-up". We turned into real reporters and we just reported like madmen!
Loved it! Though I didn't really nail it. I was slightly "fake". And of course we had to "show them" in class. Awesome (not).

Well, I'm glad it's over with. Maybe I should have chosen to become an actress after all!

At work

Yesterday, at work, I really felt creative! I'm so bad that I actually took my phone, because that is something "STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in catering", as my boss would say. But, since there wasn't THAT much to do, I just decided to go for it, and take some pictures of the fruits of my sweat.
I covered those tables! Looks pretty *dean* good doesn't it?
Man, those cups and saucers have never been THAT organized.

Spoons and forks: one of my creative moments.

Having fun with a mystery.

Hey Hanna! This one I dedicate to you, because you enjoyed your sandwich so much (just like I did) and because you thought this ... was blog-worthy. Which it definitely was & is!
Hanna enjoying her lovely, amazing sandwich. And the photo-bomb eating hers (should I have removed that photo-bomb? Is this legal?
Me,  enjoying an awesome sandwich. Wow, I look like it took me a lot of effort to take that one bite.

M&M's with a heart of peanut! Amazing! And Hanna's bright red pants: stylish!

More M&M's. My, did we have a feast.
Hanna, I adore spending time with you. I hope we get to do this A LOT more this year. Maybe make it a Thursday tradition? Would be pretty awesomely cool!

Bye!

By the way: how was dinner?

Rehab.

I realized I really need to rehabilitate. My mind is completely set to sleeping in one room with somebody else; 'cause during the rebuilding of the attic I slept at Jasmijns room. All summer long! I'm just not used to sleeping alone. Neither am I used to sitting alone in my room. I definitely need to get used to it.

Awesome old bookstore!

I was browsing through my phone-pictures, and I saw this one:  a super chaotic bookstore with the real bookstore ambiance my mom, sister and me went to a couple of weeks ago. Loved it! I want to live there.
Awesome old bookstore!

Trouble can't be blindfolded

That just looks like a fine Latte Macchiato to me.
What do you think?
Arrr, me mateys!  O yeah, I'm one of those people. One of those people who take "Talk-like-a-pirate-day" very seriously. In fact, I actually did it before it became an international hype all of a sudden.
I can't help it I like pirates so much. I wish I could be one. Once I will! In my dreams, of course. My wildest dreams! But being a journalist is okay too, I guess. So let's just stick to that for now.
I don't really mind to do this studying! Today we had to go downtown, to take pictures ... and that was pretty much it! That was all! Apart from the fact that we had to present them to the class, with a catchy headline. But that was a piece o' cake! We had an awful lot of fun, my "crew" and me [just to stay in pirate-style a little].

Now, something else. A few days ago, I made the best Latte Macchiato ever! Well, the 'latte' didn't really cope  and we didn't have espresso, so .... a few sentences ago I was lying, just a bit *giggle*.
But fortunately I had my camera near at hand so I immortalized my LM.

Ahoy mateys! Hoist the colors!

This day isn't over yet!

Lost 'nd found.

The title already does the trick: I found 'em. Haha! Peeps, I don't know why on this freaking earth I'm still up! I'm awfully tired. And for once in my life, I'm going to go to sleep before 11 PM. I hope I'll be asleep before 11! That would be quite an accomplishment.

But first ... I'm going to create a list of things that I want for my birthday! [I feel such a baby when I say that, but my mother wants me to. She's a list-ish person. She needs lists. That way she handles things better.]
Anyway, wish me luck! I don't really know what I want.

I use too many screamers !!!!!!!!!!!!! <-- that just looks hideous. I hate it when people do that.

Where is my family?

I honestly have no idea where my family is! Honestly. They're gone! They went to a birthday this afternoon, but they were supposed to be back by now.
I'm not sure if they have been home already, and left for some place else, since I hat a "concert" with the band. It wasn't a real concert, we were just leading the peeps in a church somewhere ...

Well, I'm not sure whether to start cooking or not? I'm hungry.

Picture time!

So this is it! The moment you've all been waiting for (of course), the pictures of my room as good as finished!
Enjoy!
My favorite little dress.

This, people, is where I spend my nights.

The desk aka. bookshelf.

Nerrrd!

The nerd in her best outfit ever!

Technique

Hey dude! Grow sideburns!

Paris, mon chèrie!

My sister just got back from Paris! She came in with this really cute, bright blue French cap. I can't wait to hear everything, therefore I'm stopping this utterly random blog. Ahh, random blogging. Something I've been doing a lot lately. Something I've always been doing. I am a random blogger. Just like most of the bloggers. Duh!

Random blogging

I should finish the book I started reading 2 MONTHS ago! Can you believe it? 2 months? I usually read a book in less than a week.

I love Community. It's my favorite show, ever!
"Just go over there, and do you thang."
"Abed? What are you doing?"
"I'm being myself."
"Go be yourself by Jenny."
"But I wouldn't go there."
"How do you know?"
"A lifetime of observation, mostly."
"Well, do you think there's a version of you that might go up there?"
"Absolutely."
"Could you be him?"
"Okay."
*Abed starts walking towards Jenny like a crazy vampire*
"What the heck was that?"
"A different version of me."

Honestly, why am I quoting this entire dialogue? Sad. It doesn't even seem funny this way.
Speaking of sad! Yesterday I saw a movie, called "Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus". Only the title says enough. Man was that pathetic! Definitely low budget. No, it was just plain amateurism.
But now I'm returning to my "watching-episodes-of-Community-my-favorite-show-moment".

Sadface

I left the bar too soon. Why does all the fun stuff happen when I'm not there? Does that say something about me? I hate Twitter.

Slow dancing

Why, oh why is my computer slow? I think ... wait a minute! Twitter is over capacity AGAIN?! I do like image of the whale carried by a bunch of birds, though.
Ahh, Twitter works again. They fix that quickly! They're goood. I don't even know who "they" are, but they're gooood. I bet "they" are just a bunch of genius students. Just like Mark Zuckerberg ... he was/is/will remain a genius. Facebook? Come on. Can you think of something more awesome? Alright, I'm rambling.
And right now, I'm in some sort of moment of stressfulness. 1). Twitter is over capacity again, which would usually NOT freak me out, but for some reason it does now
2). I need to have a story for Monday. To be exact: a news story. Why?! Why do I live here?! NOTHING happens here! Which means I'm going to have to go somewhere, to check out some happenings that I can write about, but WHAT happens anywhere?! Somebody, rescue me.
I wish somebody fainted in the bus today, that would have given me a story! Because then I could have asked the busdriver: what on earth were you thinking when you put the heater on? (Yes he had. It was like a thousand degrees in there!)
But nobody fainted, a part from myself. Well, I almost did. Lets not exaggerate.

Twitter's still over capacity. I just want to see what my classmates tweeted about our class-date!Yes, we had a "class-date". Went to "Het vliegende paard", a little cafe in Zwollywood (Zwolle) where I go to school. We had a blast! Yes, I'm grateful for such an amazing class.
That "date" was a good "final-class-thing", after three frigging hours of politics! Awfully boring, even though the teacher is a genius and awesomely funny.
Besides that, I treated my friends for a nice [huge, and expensive] cup of Caramello >>an awesome cup of cappuccino, with a huge layer of whipped cream and caramel sauce!<< I, myself had a huge cup of "Choco Cappuccino", also very tasty, o yeah!

Wow, peeps! Did you notice how long this blog is already! Actually there's so much more I want to say! But I won't, I need to start doing some homework (for the first time this year).

And why, oh why is my computer slow? I think it feels like slow dancing with me. Cutie pie.

Organizing the Musicbox

I'm just done organizing my musicbox (aka. Mp4-player and no, I don't have an iPod, oldfashioned huh?). Why now? That question has been floating around in my head for the last couple of ... hours? Man, I don't even know how long this took me! All I know it that I should stop this madness, I have school tomorrow! I really don't feel like going anywhere tomorrow.
Ahh, I see how this is going to end up: 'naggish', so ...

I'm off!

9/11

I'm speechless, again.

Me, you, tea ... and coconut-cake.

I'm really, very much enjoying this cup of tea. It's been so long! The last couple of months I've been drinking coffee only. A nice alternative!
And the smell coming from the oven -my brother is baking a coconut cake, awesome!- is divine! Love it. Can't wait to feel that creamy ... creaminess!

In the meantime my father and sister are having a discussion about whether she should pack her bag already or not; she's off to Paris tomorrow, with school.
I wish I could go on a trip next week. But instead of a trip, I'm going to school. Yeehaw! And I already have overdue homework, so typically me!

O! There's the coconut cake! I'm off! Om-nom-nom ... NOM!

Double-U T

I am the very definition of 'couch potato'! I really am. If you'd see me sitting here ... you'd agree. For sure.
But you know what? It doesn't matter. It's weekend! Already. Friday if my free-day! Well, not exactly free. I am needed at the restaurant. Yeeeeehaw! If it rains tomorrow -which is very likely to happen, this is Holland people- it's not going to be crowded. I can tell you that.

Well peeps, duty calls! Off to the kitchen to help my sister. And you know what else?

Naah, I don't even know myself.

No pictures

I guess no pictures tonight.' So you think you can dance' occupied me. I'm sorry for that!*
Now I"m off to bed ... off to the day I'm not so much looking forward to anymore. (Main reason: I don't have my most important school- book yet, and I want it!)
Stressing out. Neither do I have a bag to put my laptop in ... so I'm probably going to have to mash everything into a small purse. Naah, the creative part of my brain must be slightly alive. I'll figure something out.
O man, I'm excited! Yay yay yay!

*Those apologies are to you -of course- but mainly to myself. I dissapoint myself again by not doing things.

The dreaded day has come.

Yes people, it's finally here. The very last summer vacation-day is here. I'm not dreading it THAT much, I'm king of looking forward to be a "real-life" student and to being really independent. Maaan, this is real!
As for now, I'm sitting in "my" chair, editing some photo's, watching Shrek the 1st in the mean time. Next to me: a bottle of purple nail-polish (egg-plant to be exact), a glass of water, a pot of "Purol" lip balm - a d o u c i s s a n t  e t  b i e n f a i s a n t  p o u r  l a  p e a u  r è c h e  e t  i r r i t é e- (yup, that's what it says).
Can this get any better? Well, yes. Some more dark chocolate. I'd just love that.

I need to help my sister with a dillema: "to watch Shrek in Dutch or to watch it in English?" Not that difficult, right? Haha.

Well, I'm off editing! I'll be posting some new pictures later today/tonight.
